Escaping the heat of Panama City, we drive up into the cooler, refreshing mountain air in El Valle. This picturesque town is nestled in the crater of a giant extinct volcano. Known for its handicrafts market, there are also many things to do here. Hike, horseback ride, relax in some hot springs, fly through the rainforest canopy on suspended zip line, or rent a bike. And after a busy day like that, why not take a dip in the Pacific at one of Panama’s most laid back beaches.
