Snorkelling Adventure Tour Description

Choose to experience one of Panama's best kept secrets..  A DAY TRIP to the Caribbean! 
The Caribbean side of Panama is less than 50 miles from the city and Portobelo (a world heritage site) is located along this coastline. We leave the city by 730am to get there around 9am and get geared up and out on the water. We cross the Bay of Portobelo to a quiet little beach and can enjoy snorkeling above the reef, wadding in crystal clear water and looking for some wildlife in the surrounding 'jungle'. 

After a short boat trip we reach our second snorkel site, a reef wall, for another snorkeling experience. Close to shore, the reef is close to the surface and the deep blue waters make for a dramatic backdrop for all.  Advanced snorkelers can dive down along the wall and explore this underwater world. These are the waters made famous by the tales gold and pirates like Capt. Morgan and Sir Frances Drake  Enjoy Panama's Caribbean vibe and catch some rays before we return to the mainland and rinse off, change your clothes and enjoy lunch by the sea.

The added bonus is the historic tour of Portobelo. Explore an old fort complete with the canons still in tact! The customs house and museum has finally reopened and its great  Plus, we can visit the Iglesia de San Felipe to see the famous Cristo Negro statue before heading back to Panama City.

Please note that this tour requires a minimum of 3 people to be offered at this price and can run any day of the week for groups. You have to be able to swim to book this tour! Contact us about availability.
